Our inspiration

In 1924, Alfonsina Strada was among only men at the start of the Giro d'Italia. At this time, women were not even allowed to walk around with bare knees, let alone cycle in shorts. However, Alfonsina did not let anything or anyone stop her from getting on her bike and became the first and only woman to ever ride the Giro d’Italia. Alfonsina is a real power woman who has put cycling for women on the map! We found this piece of cycling history so inspiring that we decided to name our brand after her as a tribute to Alfonsina.
